PICK 12 FOOTBALL CONTEST WINNER FOR WEEK 2

CENTRAL — Dr. Herschel B. Dean of 7148 Frontier in Greenwell Springs is the winner of Week 2 of the Pick 12 Football Contest sponsored by Oak Point Fresh Market and the Central City News. Dr. Dean correctly picked all 12 of the high school and college games for the weekend of Sept. 1-2. The other finalist, who also picked 12 of 12, was Lawrence Hebert of 16713 Stoneridge Drive.  The two finalists were placed in a drawing, and Dr. Dean was randomly selected as the winner. Capt. Saul Newsom, USMC, chose the winner in the drawing. The winner should pick up his $50 gift certificate from Oak Point. Both finalists are now eligible and will be included in the end-of-the-season drawing for a 55-inch wide screen color HDTV. The contest entry form in the Sept. 1 Central City News for games in Week 3 (Sept. 9-10) must be turned in by 6 p.m. on this Friday, Sept. 9 at Oak Point Fresh Market. The names of top entries in the Week 2 contest will appear in this week’s Central City News. The entry form for Week 3’s contest (for games Sept. 16-170) will appear in the Oak Point ad in this week’s paper.  Thank you for playing Pick 12.
