Central Private Girls Basketball

My name is Coach Scott Ayo, and I am the new girl’s varsity basketball coach at Central Private School. This year, I had the opportunity to take over the entire girls program from 5th grade through 12th grade.

I wanted to share some highlights from our season and ask the Central City News to feature or publish our results. We recently received feedback from The Advocate that they no longer publish All-District and similar lists. So we are hoping to help get the word out through other local outlets.

Here are a few of our accomplishments from this season:

•Created and coached a 5th/6th grade team that finished 12–0

•Created and coached a 7th/8th grade team finished 5–3

•Our varsity team set two school records:

•Most wins in a season

•Longest playoff run in school history

•Varsity finished 20–10

•Earned a No. 10 seed and advanced to the second round of the LHSAA playoffs

I have attached our All-District and Honorable Mention list for your consideration.

I greatly appreciate your sharing this information with the community. There are a lot of exciting things happening with our program, and we would love to highlight our student-athletes’ achievements.
