Central Private Rebels in Rebuilding Year

Central Private Rebels in Rebuilding Year

The Central Private Rebels return to action this Friday, hosting Trinity Episcopal School of Natchez in a Mississippi Association of Independent Schools game.  The game starts at 7 p.m.

Central Private plays its schedule two weeks ahead of schools in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.  So it has already played in a jamboree and two regular season games.

Because CPS is a member of MAIS, it plays some of its games in Mississippi and in North Louisiana where many private schools are members of the same organization.

Central Private played its jamboree in Pineville, losing 12-8 to the Acadiana Home School team.

In the opening game of the regular season, CPS played Riverfield, losing 42-12. However, the Rebels came back last week and defeated the Baton Rouge Christian Home Education Fellowship (CHEF) team 22-6.  This Friday’s opponent, Trinity Episcopal, lost its first two games — University Academy 62-36 and Centerville Academy  51-24.
