Lady Wildcats 3-0 at Grant Tourney

The Central Wildcat softball team took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a single at the end of the game to topple the Barbe Buccaneers. The game was tied at 9-9 with Central batting in the bottom of the seventh when Bella Barnes singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Both offenses were strong at the plate as Central collected 12 hits and Barbe nine in the high-scoring affair. In the first inning, Barbe got their offense started when Grayce Guidry singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Nicki Bourgeois earned the victory on the rubber for Central. She went seven innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and striking out three. .

Wildcats socked one home run on the day. Destiney Gary went for the long ball in the sixth inning.Central collected 12 hits. Autumn Vessier, Gary, Kylie Chauvin, and Barnes all managed multiple hits for Central. Barnes, Chauvin, Gary, and Vessier each managed two hits to lead Central Wildcats.

Barbe Buccaneer Varsity racked up nine hits in the game. 

Central Wildcats won the contest against Natchitoches Central on Friday, 6-2. Natchitoches Central got on the board in the first inning. Natchitoches Central scored one run when L Hargis singled. In the top of the third inning, Central tied things up at two. Bobbie Amond drew a walk, scoring one run. Central pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Amond drew a walk, scoring one run. Central notched three runs in the seventh inning. Central scored its runs on a home run by Bella Barnes.

Mary Fralick was the winning pitcher for Central. She allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. 

Cailyn Heyl started the game for Central. She went three innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking zero. Central socked one home run on the day. Barnes had a dinger in the seventh inning.

Wildcats tallied nine hits on the day. Kylie Chauvin and Barnes each racked up multiple hits for Central Barnes and Chauvin each collected two hits to lead Central.
