Central’s Gary Risponse Celebrates 10 Years of Paradise Louisiana on TV

CENTRAL — After nearly 10 years on the air and 500 weekly episodes, the Paradise Louisiana television show has become a household word for sportsmen throughout Louisiana and the nation.

Central’s own Gary Rispone hosts Paradise Louisiana, along with Advocate outdoors writer Joe Macaluso and outdoorsman and conservationist Don Dubuc.

The television show airs on Cox Channel 37 at 10 p.m. on Thursdays and 7 a.m. on Sundays and on KPBN on Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 9 p.m., Saturdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 8 p.m., and Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on Cable Channel 113.  The show can be viewed worldwide on the Internet at pelicansportstv.com.

Gary Risponse has resided in Central since 1974 and raised his family here.  His three children, Dawn Ashford, Vince Rispone, and Tara DeLee, all graduated from Central High School.  Dawn and Tara were recently nominated for the Central Athletic Hall of Fame for their many accomplishments in softball, basketball, and volleyball.  Both were All-State at Central.

Paradise Louisiana is based in Central and broadcasts throughout the state and nation from here.

The show is produced by Pelican Broadcasting.  Chris LeCoq is director, and Marty Campbell is the cameraman.

Paradise Louisiana is unique because it offers up to date news of interest to outsdoorsman each episode  In the past 10 years, they have missed only one episode, during Gustav.
