Central High Lands Four on 1st Team All-District

Coach Leo McClure has retired after another successful season as head baseball coach at Central High School.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Central Wildcat baseball team landed a number of its stars on the All-District 1st or 2nd Team.

Those winning district honors were:

First Team

•Grayden Harris, pitcher

•Cooper Austin, catcher

•Garrett Rabalais, utility

•Jacob LeBlanc, outfielder

Second Team

•Cade Starns, pitcher

•Cole Guidroz, infielder

•B. J. Collins, outfielder

•Kade Furr, utility

•Kyle Veal, utility

A Central High graduate of 1973, Leo Mc- Clure has spent much of life as a player and coach in Central. He was head basketball coach from 1977 to 1984. After a few years out of coaching to work in private business, Leo McClure returned to Central High as Athletic Director and head football coach in 1991 and 1992. He has been head baseball coach since 2020.
