Qualifying to Open Next Wednesday for Central City Council, Zachary Board

Clerk of Court Doug Welborn has announced qualifying dates for upcoming spring elections in East Baton Rouge Parish. Qualifying will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20 through Friday, Jan. 22 only at the Airline branch office for the following races:

•Special Election for Council Member District 1, City of Central

•Special Election for Member of School Board District 6, Zachary Community

Qualifying will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. on all three days. The office is located at 9050 Airline Highway, Suite 100 in the former Woman’s Hospital near Goodwood Boulevard. The primary election will be held on Saturday, March 20 with the general election on Saturday, April 21.
