LEAP Tests Put Central at No. 2 District in State
The Louisiana Department of Education has announced the results of its annual LEAP and iLEAP testing of public school students, and the Central Community School System is once again near the top of the state. In the critical testing of 3rd through 8th graders, Central tied for No. 2 among the 70 school systems in Louisiana. Zachary was No. 1 with a score of 88, while Central and Plaquemines Parish tied at 85. This year’s tests were more rigorous than the past, according to Supt. Mike Faulk.
