Outgoing Council Considers Mass Rezoning

A group of 25 Central business owners met at Kristenwood Tuesday night to discuss their concerns about a proposed mass rezoning of property under the city’s Master Plan.  The group agreed to ask the outgoing City Council to delay a decision until after the new Mayor and City Council are sworn in July 1.

The outgoing Council will hold public hearings on the proposed rezoning Thursday, June 5 at Starkey Academy.  Commercial issues will be discussed at 5 p.m. and residential issues at 6:30 p.m.  The meeting is a “workshop,” and the public is invited to participate and speak.
