New Ship Cruises from New Orleans
A new cruise ship is sailing out of New Orleans. The Serenade of the Seas left on its first voyage from Louisiana on Saturday, Dec. 28. The 10-year-old vessel just completed a $58 million revocation and is in “like new” condition.
The ship, which left with 2,436 passengers, offers a new route as well — from New Orleans to Key West to Nassau to Coco Cay in the Bahamas and then back to New Orleans, all in seven days.
Fares run from about $700 a person to $2,000 a person, depending on the time of year and the type of cabin selected. For more, see the photo spread on pages 14-15 or go to the Royal Caribbean website, www. royalcaribbean.com
