PSC, Judgeship, Metro Council on Ballot

Candidates in local races qualified July 17-19 at the office of Clerk of Court Doug Welborn. Metro Councilman Aaron Moak of Central drew no opposition and was reelected automatically.

Metro Councilman Brandon Noel who represents Zachary and part of Central drew two opponents, Republican Gary Price and Democrat Eric Smith.

The big news coming out of qualifying in Central was the entry in the race for Mayor-President of long-time Central coach Sid Edwards.
