Catholic High Names Central’s Jackson Whitlow As Student of the Year for 2023-2024 School Year

Catholic High School of Baton Rouge has announced that Jackson Whitlow of Central has been named Catholic High’s Student of the Year for 2023-2024! 

An academic and extracurricular all-star, Jackson is a National Merit Semifinalist, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and part of the ACT 30+ Club. 

He is a talented vocalist and serves as president of the Catholic High/St. Joseph Academy Choir. 

Jackson is also active in a number of other Catholic High clubs — Robotics, Ambassadors, Student Ministry, Beach Volleyball, and Spanish Club among a host of other activities. 

He founded the Catholic High student organization, My Brother’s Keeper, and volunteers regularly, which earned him the Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation Outstanding High School Volunteer Award. The school said, “We are so proud to have Jackson represent CHS as our candidate for Diocesan Student of the Year.”

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Whitlow of Central.
