Kellie Alford Also Seeking District 64 Seat

Kellie Alford has announced that she will be running for State Representative in the 64th District.  Alford is a registered Republican, a successful small business owner of Alford’s Landscaping, and a partner in Legacies Management of Louisiana.

“It is a great honor and privilege to announce my candidacy for State Representative of District 64,” said Alford. “This district is near and dear to my heart, and I want to be a new voice that echoes the past and speaks to the future.  I will represent the people of District 64 with determination and tenacity, working hard to be the voice of ‘We the People’ in decisions that affect our lives.”

“Louisiana has a bloated bureaucracy that has not been effective in advancing the will of the people. Unless there is a dramatic change in course, this current path will hurt everyone in our community including senior citizens, children’s education, businesses, jobs, and our property taxes.”

Alford believes in small government, fiscal responsibility, agriculture, parental rights, the 2nd Amendment, pro-life, less taxes, and a strong education for this generation and future generations to come.

District 64 is currently represented by Rep. Valarie Hodges. It includes the Watson area in Livingston Parish and the northern part of the City of Central.  The new District 64 goes into effect this fall. It includes two precincts in East Baton Rouge Parish that include the Pride, Baywood, Chaneyville, and Deerford communities.
