Claston Bernard Wins GOP Endorsement

The Louisiana Republican Party has endorsed Claston Bernard for U.S. Congress from the 2nd District in a special election Saturday, March 20 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Cedric Richmond.  The district does not include Central but does include Baker, the inner city of Baton Rouge, parts of the River Parishes, and parts of Jefferson and Orleans parishes.

Claston Bernard is an unique candidate — a black Republican who articulates the free market system, our American heritage, traditional family values, the right to life, and the 2nd Amendment.

He is a former Olympian, NCAA National Champion in the Decathlon (making him the best athlete in this country), member of four National Championship teams at LSU, a staunch conservative and a God-fearing Christian.  He is well schooled in conservative thought and an author.  His impressive 6’10” frame sets him above the crowd and his passionate belief in the values that made America great make him a force for the future.

Claston Bernard is also endorsed by the Central City News.

The election is Saturday, March 20. Early voting starts March 6.

Claston Bernard’s book, Outcast: No Room at the Table for Conservative Blacks in Black America is available at amazon.com for $11.21 plus shipping.
