Ms. Erna Thibodeaux Celebrates 100

Mrs. Erna Thibodeaux (Maw Maw Tibby) celebrated her 100th birthday on March 30, 2020. Although Erna was not able to celebrate this milestone occasion with her extended family and friends, she was honored in a small celebration at her home with four of her children. 

Erna was born in Dupont, Louisiana on March 30, 1920. She married Louis Paul LeBlanc, Jr. and they had two children, Louis Paul (L.P.) LeBlanc, III and Barbara (Bobbie) LeBlanc Fabre. Lois perished in 1945 in Epinal, France during World War II. Erna later met and married Wilson J. Thibodeaux (Tibby) in 1947 after his term in World War II and they had three sons, Wilson J. (W.J.) Thibodeaux, Jr., Gary Thibodeaux and Ronnie Thibodeaux. Erna and Wilson moved to Central in 1999 and became members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. 

Prior to moving to Central, they were members of St. Gerald Majella Catholic Church for 47 years. Erna began her career as a nursing assistant in St. Landry Parish Hospital and later worked as a food service worker in the EBR Parish School System. Erna has been blessed with 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.of Walker. 

The couple has three precious grandchildren, Donald Jr. and fiancé Devin, Dalton, and Daniel. 

David and Diane are long-time members of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge.
