CHS Varsity Cheerleaders Place Fourth in Nationals

CENTRAL HIGH VARSITY CHEERLEADERS –– The Central High School varsity cheer team completed their competition season in February in Orlando at the National High School Cheerleading Championships. The team returned after back-to-back wins the past two years. This year they came home with 4th place in the large NT Gameday Division and advanced to semi-finals in the Large D2 Tumbling Division for routine. The girls currently hold the 2019 LHSAA State Championship. They also placed first in the UCA Regional competition held in Hammond. Tryouts have been set for March 12 with material and stunt clinics March 9-11.
