Cooking in Central Set Friday, March 27

Cooking in Central, the Official Festival of the City of Central, will hold its Premier Spring Event on Friday, March 27. This year’s festival will feature entertainment by The Molly Ringwalds, along with a Seafood Extravaganza. Gates open at The Amazing Place, 10305 Blackwater Road, at 4 p.m. The entry fee is $5 per person 16 and older.

The family event will have entertainment for children and adults alike: Pony rides, the Central Fire Department’s Smoke House, BREC activities, auctions, raffles, 

and live music. In addition, there will be lots of food starting at 5 p.m. Meal tickets are $20 for boiled crawfish or the fish and shrimp dinner. Take out dinners will be available from 5:30 to 7 p.m..

The ever-popular crawfish boil competition will be a featured event. Competing teams will provide their own crawfish and a $50 entry fee. For information email info@cookingincentral.com or call 225-938-1753. 

Everyone is invited to come eat and dance the night away for a great cause! Proceeds will benefit Central area schools, CCAF, Central Athletic Foundation, Cast Iron Assistance, and the Capital Area Law Enforcement Foundation.
