Central Intermediate’s Lemonade Day

Last Friday, Central Intermediate School students participated in Lemonade Day, the event sponsored by Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves, which seeks to encourage entrepreneurship in children.

The event was held indoors because of rain. Each 5th grade class worked together to create a unique theme for their stand, offering different recipes and fun-themed snacks.

Some students held posters advertising for their stands, while others worked and helped customers. Other students made purchases throughout the day.

The Grand Prize winner with $600 in total sales was the partner classes of Mrs. Overland and Mrs. Hall. The grand prize will be a Raising Cane’s Classroom Party. Total sales for the event were $3,410. The money raised will be donated to the Central Food Bank.
