Central Road Projects

Most major cities in Louisiana suffer from poor public schools, high crime rates, and a constant budget crunch.  But Central has good public schools, low crime, and money in the bank.  So public officials in Central are focusing on the area’s No. 1 problem — unsafe, inadequate roads.
Central Mayor Jr. Shelton, members of the City Council, Central’s delegation to the state legislature, and even Cong. Garrett Graves and Sens. David Vitter and Bill Cassidy are teaming up to improve Central’s roads.
State Sen. Bodi White said state legislators are working to include funds in the State Capital Outlay Program to solve Central’s major traffic problems. The City of Central is pledging city funds, and the Congressional delegation is working to get federal highway funds.
