New Orleans businessman Louis Gurvich has been re-elected State Republican chairman by the Republican State Central Committee meeting at the Capitol Hilton in downtown Baton Rouge.  Gurvich, a conservative, defeated Mike Bayham of St. Bernard Parish in an unexpectedly close 101-90 vote.  Gurvich, who was first elected in 2018, was elected to a two-year term.
