Council to Fill Two Vacancies on P&Z

Council to Fill Two Vacancies on P&Z

The City Council is expected to fill two seats on the seven-member Central Planning & Zoning Committee at Tuesday’s Council meeting.  The vacancies have been caused by the expiration of the terms of P&Z chairman Rodney Bonvillain and vice chairman Wade Giles.

Nine Central residents have applied: URS employee Brian Clayton, realtor Aaron Goolsby, Accurate Components sales manager William Matlock, ExxonMobil mechanical planner Brent Rabalais, Jacobs Engineering retiree M. Derrel Robinson, Farms & Acreage realtor Dick Shaffett, DEQ civil engineer Bijan Sharafkhani, Royal Nissan employee Angela Summerville, and real estate appraiser Laura Webster.

EDITOR’S NOTE: In the print edition of the Central City News, we reported that chairman Rodney Bonvillain resigned his position on the P&Z.  However, he has informed us that he did not resign but rather that his term expired.  We offer our apologies.
