Liberal Orthodoxy Now In Full Retreat as Facts Show Consequences  Of a Bankrupt Ideology

CENTRAL — The events of the past few weeks have brought the roof down not only on the Obama Administration but on the entire liberal movement.
How can anyone in his right mind continue to support this bankrupt ideology?
Here are a few notes about some of the things that have happened:
Benghazi.  The Obama Administration convinced itself that the real problem was not militant Islamic terrorists but the USA.  If we just talked nice, we could all be friends.  Obama failed to provide adequate security for our diplomats in Libya.  Then, when our consulate was under attack, Obama refused to supply help.  He abandoned our men in the face of the enemy for the worst of reasons — it wasn’t in his political interests to do so.   Then, of course, he and his people lied about it.  And lied.  And lied.
Benghazi reminds us that:
•    Appeasement doesn’t work.
•    The threat of radical Islamic terrorism is real and isn’t going away.
•    Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.
•    If you lie to the American people, you will pay the price.
Boston Bombing. The liberal website Salon.com said shortly after the bombing: “Let’s Hope the Boston Marathon Bomber Is a White American.”  Of course, it wasn’t.  The bombers were Islamic immigrants who came here with their extended family.  They came on questionable grounds that they were persecuted in their native land.  Yet, they have freely travelled back and forth to their country.  The bombers got more than $100,000 in government benefits and milked the system — and you the taxpayer.
Then they murdered as many of us as they could!
The Boston bombing reminds us:
•    All the gun control in the world is not going to stop a terrorist or a criminal.  Gun control would only prevent the law-abiding citizen from getting weapons to defend himself, his home, and his family.
•    Our wide open borders are a disaster.  We cannot allow everyone from around the world to continue to flood into this country.  And we need to systematically remove illegal aliens from our country.
•    We are fools if we continue to give welfare, Food Stamps, scholarships, and other benefits to aliens — legal or illegal.
•    The death penalty, which was abolished in Massachusetts by the bleeding heart left, is the only just punishment for certain heinous crimes, and it is a travesty that Massachusetts would, if left to themselves, not impose it in this case.
Gosnell.  Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist and mass murderer, was convicted of murdering three helpless infants and allowing one of his adult patients to die.  What Gosnell did was put into our living rooms what the pro-life movement has been unable to do for 40 years.  He exposed the reality of abortion.  What Gosnell did in secret is done in secret in “clinics” all over the country, including right here in Baton Rouge.  We have allowed these butchers to tear apart, burn, and poison more than 50 million of our most precious possessions — our children.
Gosnell reminds us that:
•    Abortion is murder.
•    Abortionists and those in their clinics participate in the most evil, vile, and diabolical of activities — the killing of babies.
IRS.  The IRS admitted this week that they have systematically targeted conservatives for harassment and destruction.  This is nothing new.  The IRS has targeted conservatives under Republican and Democratic administrations for decades.
The IRS scandal reminds us:
•    The IRS should be abolished and a new agency put in its place with an entirely different culture and mentality.
Associated Press. The Obama Administration has admitted it secretly seized thousands of phone records of the AP in New York and Washington.  Now, finally, the liberal media is squealing!
Shouldn’t all of us join together and agree that all of constitutional liberties are essential to a free society?  Shouldn’t we all stand up for the right to life in the 14th Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms in the 2nd Amendment, and the freedom of speech and the press in the 1st Amendment?
Yes indeed, the left is on the run.  What they stand for is a lie, and that is clear for all to see.
