Search Firm for Central High Principal

CENTRAL — Central schools Supt. Mike Faulk said Tuesday that he has retained a national search firm to find qualified applicants for principal of Central High School and for  a new supervisor of curriculum for the school system.

Faulk said the firm of Wray & Associates will conduct the search, interview applicants, and check out their credentials and references.  He said they will narrow the field to five finalists for each position, and he will submit his recommendation to the board by early June.  A separate search for a principal for Tanglewood Elementary is already underway but is being conducted locally.

Faulk said persons interested in applying for any of the positions should go to the school board website, www.centralcss.org.  The high school principal salary will be $70,000 to $85,000, he said.
