BATON ROUGE — Under the Louisiana Constitution, the legislature meets for 60 legislative days in even-numbered years and 45 days in odd-numbered years.  Sessions in odd-numbered years deal mainly with fiscal matters, but legislators can pre-file up to five bills on non-fiscal matters.  Because they are limited in the number of bills they can introduce, legislators are usually cautious on what bills they prefile.  For bills your legislators have introduced, go to http://www.legis.la.gov/legis/BillSearch.aspx?sid=LAST
