The Brownings Celebrate 50th

CENTRAL — Maurice and Sharon Browning celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a promised and long overdue return trip to New York.  They spent their 25th anniversary in New York, when Maurice was working there.

They enjoyed a beautiful 50th anniversary dinner at the same quaint restaurant, Restaurant Xavier & Bully Boy, where they shared their 25th anniversary.

Their trip included a stop in Hershey, Pa., the Amish Country, Gettysburg, Niagara Falls, West Point, a loop through Canada, and visiting and reminiscing with friends.

After returning home, their sons and spouses, Todd and Rhonda, Kevin and Kim, and Darren and Beth, and their 10 grandchildren honored them with a luncheon at Don’s Seafood.

The couple were married by Rev. Sam Gordon at Winbourne Ave. Baptist Church on June 15, 1962.
