Blair Buras to Host Jazz Class at The Coda Feb. 11

CENTRAL — The Coda, 13517 Hooper Road, will host Saintsation’s choreographer Blair Buras.  Blair will lead a high-energy, intermediate to advanced level jazz class on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2 to 3:30 p.m.  The class will focus on dance team technique and prepping girls for upcoming tryouts.

While at Louisiana State University, Buras performed with the LSU Dance Ensemble and as a Golden Girl for five years, serving as captain and choreographer from 2002-2004.

In 2007, she moved to Houston where she danced with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and worked as a nutrition coach for Life Time Fitness.  Buras was taught dance at Connolly Dance Arts.  She is the choreographer for the New Orleans Saintsations, teaches at Tari’s School of Dance in Baton Rouge, and is an instructor for the LSU Theater and Dance Department.

Blair Buras’ workshop is open to any 8th through 12th grade student.  The fee for registered Coda dancers is $14 and $18 for other guests.
