Considering the downswing in the housing industry, Central has been able to sustain the market with property values remaining fairly stable. Although we have seen some decline in value, overall we have only been affected slightly. Because  our community is focused on building a strong school system and maintaining solid family values, Central continues to draw attention as new homeowners move into the area and previous Central residents move back.  New home permits issued in Central exceeding some other areas is a positive indication of continued growth for our community.

B&K Mortgage is excited to be a part of this growth. We have seen incredible activity just these past few weeks with new applications coming in daily for home purchases and refinances within Central. 2012 is off to a strong start.   Having lived in Central and worked in mortgage banking for over 30 years, I feel B&K has a great deal to offer home-
owners here. Britton & Koontz Bank was founded in 1836 and still carries the same name of our founders. We have a long history of focusing on the customer’s needs, and we are looking forward to helping many Central families reach their goal of home ownership.
