Local Couple Celebrate 69th Anniversary

CENTRAL — Joyce Montgomery Kelly and John Wilks “JW” Kelly, Jr. celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011.  They are life-long residents of Central and are active in the communit.

JW played basketball for Central High and went into the Army in World War II.  Joyce was secretary at Central High for 30 years and was inducted into the CHS Hall of Fame.

They were married on November 28, 1942, in Mississippi at the ages of 16 and 19.  They have two children, John and Tara and four grandchildren.
