Courtney Johnson, Derek Teasett, Sr. Were Wed at Occasions Unlimited

BAKER — Ms. Courtney Angelique Johnson and Mr. Derek Fitzgerald Teasett, Sr. were married on Saturday, May 21, 2011, in a 5 p.m. ceremony at Occasions Unlimited in Baker.  The Honorable Moses Evans officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Michelle Johnson of Central and Andre Johnson of Baton Rouge.  She attended Central High School and is a stay-at-home mom.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her parents.  She was attended by her maid of honor and sister, Brittany Johnson and bridesmaids, sister, Crystal Johnson; god-sister, Ashley Harrison; sister, Ashley Johnson; and the groom’s sister, TyQuincya Teasett.  The miniature bride was Alayna Huggins.

The groom is the son of Demetra Teasett of Zachary and Derek Jackson of Smyrna, Ga.  He is a graduate of Zachary High School and is employed by the State of Louisiana.  The groom was attended by his best man and brother, Carvell Teasett and groomsmen, cousin, Carnelius Teasett; cousin, Chavelle Holliday; and friends, Terell Tate and Montrell Thornton.  The miniature groom was son, Derek Teasett, Jr. and the ring bearer was son, Daylen Teasett.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony.
