Raffle to Raise Money for Laura Ballard’s Children

VENICE — Seven charter fishing boat captains out of Venice, Louisiana, are donating the use of their boats and crews to help raise money for Adalee and Smith Pickett, whose parents, Laura Ballard Pickett and Dr. Taylor Pickett, were killed in a plane crash on April 10.

Raffle tickets are being sold in Central for $20.  They provide a chance to win a day of charter fishing for a group of four.  Seven winners will be chosen, and each winner will get to sponsor a party of four.
