Central Class of 2024

More than 3,000 packed the Baton Rouge River Center Wednesday night, May 15 for the 112th Annual Graduation Ceremony of Central High School.
A total of 350 seniors crossed the stage and received their diplomas.
Leading the way were valedictorian Madison Lumpkin and salutatorian Samatha Vaughan. Among the graduates was National Merit Semi-Finalist Austin Elliott.
Meanwhile, 36 Central Private seniors are expected to receive their diplomas at 7 p.m., May 17 at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.
Anne Rash is the valedictorian at Central Private, while Ben Pennington is salutatorian. Andrew Dugas will be recognized as a Killin Scholar.
Central High principal Brandon LaGroue said the Class of 2024 is one of the most well-rounded and involved classes in recent memory. The class has some of the highest ACT scores in the state.
LaGroue himself is a semi-finalist for Louisiana Principal of the Year.
