Central Vets Honored for Protecting Our Liberty

Central honored its soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen, and Coastguardsmen during Veterans Day ceremonies Nov. 10 at Central Intermediate School.

Central Mayor Wade Evans welcomed the veterans, who were entertained by the Central High Jazz Band, the Central Middle School choir, and Tanglewood Elementary student Faith McKnight, who sang Amazing Grace, accompanied by guitarist Michael Fryday.

Navy veteran Whitney Perry served as the main speaker. Sen. Bodi White and the Blue Star Moms also came to honor the veterans.  The event was sponsored by the Republican Women of Central.
