Jeff Landry: ‘We’ Are Running for Governor to Fix Our Problems in Crime, Economy, and Education

Attorney General Jeff Landry, Republican-endorsed candidate for governor in the Oct. 14 primary, issued the following statement for the Central City News Election Guide:

“For far too long, Louisiana has been at the bottom of every good list and the top of every bad list. This election is our opportunity to change our State and put Louisiana on a path to success.”

“That is why when I first announced, I said WE are running for Governor. Because this race is not about me, it is about you, and the future you want to create for Louisiana.”

“It is no secret our State has a crime problem, our education system is failing our children, and our economy is one of the worst in the nation.”

“As a former police officer, sheriff’s deputy, and National Guardsman, no one is better suited to address our crime problem.”

“As a business owner and former economic development director, I know what our local businesses need to succeed.”

“As the son of a school teacher, I understand that the most important voice in a child’s education are the parents.”

“Louisianans know what is at stake in this election, and that is why we are running to be Louisiana’s next Governor.”

“I love Louisiana, and together, I know we can give Louisiana a government as good as its people — one where our children and grandchildren want to stay and build their families and businesses.”

“The time for excuses is over.”
