Central High’s Andrew Medine Nominated to Naval Academy

Central High Student Council president and football star Andrew Medine has been nominated for the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis by Congressman Garret Graves.

Medine applied in November. His application now goes to the Naval Academy admissions board. Members of Congress may nominate candidates for the Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, the Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy. Admission provides the opportunity for a four-year scholarship to the Academy and a commission in the Navy or the Marines.

Andrew is the son of Jonathan and Megan Medine. His dad is a former Marine.

Andrew is interested in a career in the military and would like to serve in Special Forces.
