Faith Huguet Is Homecoming Queen

Central High senior Faith Huguet was named the Wildcats’ 2019 Homecoming Queen in ceremonies on Friday, Sept. 20 at Wildcat Stadium

Last year’s homecoming queen, Miss Taliyah Joseph, was on hand to greet the new queen. She is a freshman at SLU, majoring in nursing. 

Members of the Central High School Homecoming Court and Queen were chosen by the student body. 

Other members of the court were:

Claudia Gautreaux is a first-year freshman member of the Homecoming Court and a member of the JV cheerleading team. Claudia is also a member of Zoar Baptist Church. She was escorted by her father, Will Gautreaux.

Emma Dungan, a first-year sophomore member of the Homecoming Court, is on the CHS volleyball and softball teams and is also a member of the Beta Club with a 4.0 GPA. She was escorted by her dad, Ansley Dungan.

Abby Guidry, a sophomore and first-year member of the court, is a member of the varsity cheer team. She is also involved in talented theatre and the Beta club. Abby was escorted by her father Brian Guidry. 

Azia Jones, the final sophomore first-year member of the Homecoming Court, is a member of the CHS JV cheer team, the track team, and the Beta Club. She was escorted by her mother, Mrs. Ronnie Jones. She took this moment to honor her late father, Roland Jones. 

Maitland Carrier, a junior and a first-year member of the Homecoming Court, is an active part of the Art Club and the Earth Club. Matty is a three-year member of the Silks and this year is one of the co-captains. Matty was escorted by her father, Charles Dean Carrier

Alyssa Guillot, also a junior and a third-year member of the Homecoming Court, is an active member of the varsity soccer and tennis teams. Alyssa is also on the Leadership Board for Student Council. She was escorted by her grandfather, Mike Caruso.

Lexi Posey, a junior and second-year member of the Homecoming Court, is a part of the tennis team at CHS.  With a 4.1 GPA, Lexi is a member of the CHS Beta Club and also a Mentor Cat. She is a Movement Youth Leader at Journey Church. Lexi was escorted by her father, Ronnie Davis.

Cassidy Young, a junior and first-year member of Homecoming Court, is an honor roll student with a 4.4 GPA. She is a member of the defending National Game Day Championship Varsity Cheer Team. Cassidy was escorted by her father, Troy Young.

Bobbie Amond, a senior member of the Homecoming Court, plays third base for the Wildcat softball team and is also a member of the Blazers Elite Gold softball team. She has committed to Jones County Community College near Hattiesburg. Bobbie was escorted by her dad, Kurt Amond.

Camille Dean is a senior and second-year member of the Homecoming Court. Although she works most of the time, Camille has maintained a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the Beta Club. She was escorted by her mom, Mrs. Karen Hobbs.

Kinley Funderburk is a senior and two-time member of the Homecoming Court. Kinley is a member of the CHS track team and a Diamond Girl for the CHS baseball team. She also coaches gymnastics at Leaps and Bounds. Kinley is escorted by her father, Rylan Grimmer. 

Faith Huguet is a senior and second-year member of Homecoming Court. She is a former member of the Wildcat Scoop.  Outside of school, Faith is active in the youth group at St. Alphonsus, and has danced competitively for the past 15 years. She was escorted by her dad, Mike Huguet.

Bailey Mitchell, is a senior and first-year member of the Homecoming Court. Bailey is co-captain of the defending National Champion Varsity Cheer team. She is also a part of the CHS Beta Club. Bailey was escorted her father, Sonny Mitchell, and her stepdad, Josh Austin.
