2018 Central Schools Convocation

More than 400 teachers, administrators, and school employees gathered on Monday, Aug. 6 for the Central Community School System’s 12th Annual Back to School Convocation. This year’s event was held at Greenwell Springs Baptist and was broadcast live by the Central City News on Facebook.
The event, which was chaired by Supt. Jason Fountain, was a chance to meet all of the school system’s new employees, as each one was introduced to the entire assembly.
The morning began with breakfast in the Family Center. Attendees assembled in the sanctuary for the convocation itself.
A highlight was the recognition of Jordan Taylor of Rouse’s Supermarket for his kindness to Jack Ryan Edwards, the autistic son of Central football coach Sid Edwards.
