Joseph Schopp Signs With Baton Rouge CC

Joseph Schopp of Central High has signed with Baton Rouge Community College to play baseball for the Bears next season. The signing took place in the school’s Library with family, teammates, and friends in attendance. Joseph will join former teammate Dayton Guercio, a pitcher at BRCC.
Joseph is a three year starter at shortstop for Central High, and had the opportunity to share the field early in his career with his older brother, James Daniel, who started in centerfield. Joseph has been an integral part of the success of the program by providing stellar defense and solid hitting. He has been selected to the All-District second team in each of the two previous years. Joseph plans to major in General Studies.
