Josh Roy Is Running for Central City Council from District 2

Joshua “Josh” Roy was born and raised in Baton Rouge and has resided in Central, Louisiana for nearly 10 years. Josh received his JD magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center graduating 1st in his class. Josh also graduated from of LSU in political science. He is an attorney at the Maughan Law Firm.
Josh serves on the board of directors for Central Tigers, Inc., a local non-profit baseball organization dedicated to teaching youth baseball fundamentals and life lessons, and The Kiwanis Club of The Oaks, “a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.” Josh is an Eagle Scout. The central theme behind Josh’s community service is to improve the community and its residents.
Josh is an active member in his community and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He resides in the Bellingrath Estates neighborhood with his wife, Chelsey and four sons, Braydon, Camden, Anthony, and Easton. Chelsey is a lifelong resident of Central.
Josh is a Republican candidate seeking your support to be councilman for District 2. He maintains a commitment to always look out for the best interests of its citizens and to listen to the concerns of his constituents. He believes government must live within its means and save for the future. Having flooded during the Great Flood of 2016, Josh is committed to improve drainage. Josh believes in applying “best practices” for smart growth while not overwhelming the City’s infrastructure, school system and other public services
