Annual Kinsley Tournament Begins Dec. 10

The 36th Annual Charles Kinsley Tournament begins on Wednesday, Dec. 10 with four games at the Central High gym:

• 4 p.m. – Woodlawn vs. Belaire

• 5:30 p.m. – Glen Oaks vs. Zachary

• 7 p.m. – Central vs. Redemptorist

• 8:30 p.m. – Tara vs. University High

The tournament continues Thursday and Friday with the consolation game at 6 p.m. Saturday and the championship at 7:30 p.m.

Coach Ron Lewis’ Central High School basketball team was practicing intensively this week in anticipation of two important tournaments — the Grand Lake Tournament at Grand Lake High School in Cameron Parish from Thursday, Dec. 4 to Saturday, Dec. 6 — and the 36th Annual Kinsley Tournament at Central High beginning Wednesday, Dec. 10 (see Page 1).  The Kinsley Tournament is always a good opportunity to size up the local prep teams.  This year, the lineup will include Belaire, Career, Central, Glen Oaks, McKinley, Redemptorist, Tara, Woodlawn and Zachary.  For the complete schedule, go to Central City News at www.Facebook.com.
