Why Are So Many Christians Supporting Trump?

Why are so many Christians supporting Donald Trump for President? Jerry Falwell, Jr., answered that question very well on Fox News. He said, “The issues are different this year.” He was referring to illegal immigration, the destruction of our manufacturing base by free trade with China, and the destruction of our military. Then he said, “The first priority today is to save the country.” If we save the country, we can argue about all the other things, but if we lose the country, everything else is moot. Trump is campaigning on three big issues:

•Illegal immigration,

•The destruction of our manufacturing jobs by China, and

• The decline of our military.

Illegal immigration is on the verge of destroying the country. The destruction of our economy by exporting our manufacturing capability to China is making us too poor to survive. And the destruction of our military is making it very difficult to protect our country. These are the Big Three issues that Trump will turn around and thereby hopefully ensure that the country survives.

Open Your Eyes! Before us is a man who has everything and doesn’t need anything we have. He is not a perfect man. But he is a man with an IQ of 158. A man of great ability who took $1 million and turned it into $11 billion. A man of enormous accomplishment that dwarfs what virtually any of us have done. A man who loves freedom and loves this country. A man who is willing to risk his reputation and his fortune to save this country and us! A man who refuses to embrace the status quo or the establishment or say what is popular. A man with a compassionate heart who puts his money where his mouth is. A man who has taken a conservative stand on virtually every issue — illegal immigration, the restoration of America’s manufacturing capability, the rebuilding of our military, the right to life, balancing the federal budget, the EPA, abolition of common core, and many, many others. A man with courage, a fighter, a warrior who will not back down or bow down. A man who has taken on the the lobbyists, the mainstream media, and the entire political class. A man who mocks political correctness and says exactly what he

believes. A man who is a refreshing breath of fresh air in a world of stale politicians and political hacks. A man who works tirelessly — 18 to 20 hours a day. A man who draws crowds of 10,000, 15,000, 25,000, 32,000 and more, breaking records everywhere. A man who engenders record voter turnouts in every early voting state. A man who, with our support, will have the opportunity, as perhaps no other President in living memory, to make fundamental conservative change in the direction of our nation. Isn’t it time to put aside false narratives and political talking points, and open your eyes!

Comparing Reagan. I had the honor of serving in President Ronald Reagan’s administration as one of his trade advisors, and I admire him greatly. But in 1967, as governor of California, he signed the first law in America allowing abortion on demand. Before that, California had about 1,500 abortions a year. After that, 100,000 a year. This was six years BEFORE Roe vs. Wade! Under Reagan, more than 500,000 babies were killed by abortion. But Reagan realized his horrible mistake and by 1975, he was America’s leading advocate for the right to life.

You can add up all your grievances against Trump — real and mostly imagined — and they pale in comparison to what Reagan actually did in 1967. Yet, he became one of our greatest Presidents. So would you have bitterly opposed Reagan when he ran for President in 1980?

Trump’s Three Big Issues. If 30 million illegal immigrants are allowed to stay and vote, you will lose your country! If free trade with China continues and the rest of our manufacturing base is destroyed, you will lose your country! If our military is further degraded, you will lose your country. Yes, it is up to us, and this election is our chance to turn it around.

Traditional Values. Trump has traditional values. He doesn’t drink or smoke. He hates drugs. He has a wonderful, stable family and is a great father. He is a Christian and goes to church. He is pro-life and pro-traditional marriage. Virtually every policy position that comes out of his mouth reflects a conservative philosophy.

Appropriate Behavior. Yes, we should always act in a way that is appropriate to the situation. But a Presidential debate is not the same situation as sitting in the Oval Office or addressing Congress or meeting with a foreign dignitary. In the debate, you see one slice of the candidates. It is only a slice.

Don’t you think Donald Trump knows how to act? Think about what is happening! He is using the debates to defend himself and stake out his positions. If you don’t like it, you might prefer Dr. Carson’s mild mannered, dignified approach. But don’t you see that Trump’s approach is winning by a mile? His approach is working. And remember: His debate style has nothing to do with how he will perform his job as President. He will behave appropriately in those situations — and keep winning for our country.

Are You Being Deceived by the Liberal Establishment? If you are a conservative who has convinced yourself that Donald Trump is a liberal, I’d like you to stop and take a moment to think about what is really going on and what you are letting yourself be a party to. The liberal establishment that controls this country is in an all-out war against Donald Trump. This includes the mainstream media and the leaders of both political parties. They will do and say anything to defeat him. Now stop and think for a moment. If Donald Trump is such a liberal — as you may have convinced yourself — why is the entire liberal establishment fighting him? Are you right — that he is a liberal? Or, are they right — that he is a conservative and their worst nightmare? The chances are overwhelming, my friend, that they know a lot more about what is going on than you do! They know that
