Family Forum Looks At Congressional Race

A total of 13 candidates qualified to run for Congress in the newly-configured Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana after Congressman Bill Cassidy announced he is running for the U.S. Senate.

Now the Louisiana Family Forum is publishing the Louisiana Voter Guide, which will tell more about where the candidates for Cassidy’s seat and other Congressional seats across the state stand on the issues.

The Family Forum, led by Gene Mills, asked candidates where they stand on 27 issues facing the nation.  Here in the Sixth Congressional District, former Gov. Edwin Edwards, the leading Democratic candidate, did not return the questionnaire, but all nine of the Republican candidates did.

On the 10 most controversial issues, listed above, all of the nine Republicans agreed.

All were strongly against funding Planned Parenthood, the leading abortion provider in the country, for repealing Obamacare, for traditional marriage, and against special rights for homosexuals.

The Voter Guide will be available at LouisianaVoterGuide.org.
