Voters in Central to Help Elect Five New Judges

Voters in the City of Central will help elect five district, juvenile, and family court judges in the election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.  Many of the candidates participated in a Judicial Forum sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge, a small business chamber.

In four instances, incumbent judges are being challenged for reelection by local attorneys. But Judge Kay Bates of Division M is not seeking reelection, and her seat has attracted five candidates. One of the five, Jamie Morain Zanovec, a Central High grad, was not able to participate in the Judicial Forum.
