GOP Backs Three for School Board

The Republican Party of East Baton Rouge Parish has endorsed three candidates running for reelection to the Central Community School Board:

• Will Easley, Dist. 4

• Ruby Foil, Dist. 6

• Sharon Browning, Dist. 7

The Republican Parish Executive Committee issued a statement on why the three candidates were endorsed.

The Republican Party of East Baton Rouge has endorsed Will Easley, Ruby Foil, and Sharon Browning for reelection to the Central school board. The GOP said,

“The success of the Central school system has been due in large part to these three school board members. Mr.

Easley, who serves as Board vice president, brings a lifetime of business experience to the board and makes it run in an efficient, business-like manner. Mrs. Browning, who taught for more than 30 years at Central High, served as president of the school board and guided the construction of the $55 million Central School Complex. Mrs. Foil served as principal of Bellingrath Hills and other schools for many years and brings a wealth of educational expertise to the Board.  Central would be well served by keeping these Board members working.”
