Central High Homecoming Court for 2014 and a Very Special Homecoming Queen

The 2014 Central High School Homecoming Court was unveiled during half-time ceremonies at last Friday night’s Homecoming game between the Central Wildcats and McKinley High Panthers at Wildcat Stadium.

The members of the court and the queen are elected by the Central High student body.  The members of the court were:

FRESHMEN

Grace Bartel — Grace is involved at Istrouma Baptist Church and Deep South Stock Horse Show.  She is co-captain of the Greenwell Springs Youth Riders.  Her hobbies include anything and everything associated with horses.  She was escorted by her father, Paul Bartel.

Katie McCaskill — Katie is a member of the Central High cross country and track teams and is Student Council representative.  She always tries to remember, “If God is for her, who can be against her?” Romans 8:31.  She was escorted by her father, Chuck McCaskill.

SOPHOMORES

Alyssa Chelette — Alyssa enjoys cheering for Central High.  She is sophomore class representative.  She was escorted by her stepfather, Cory Luker.

Candace Dixon — Candace is a member of the Central High Jr. Varsity cheerleaders, competition cheer, and secretary of the French Club.  She was escorted by her father, Jerry Dixon.

Savanna McCarty — Savanna is known as Skittles.  She is a member of the soccer team and Helping Hands Club.  She plays the piano and sings.  She was escorted by her father, Matt McCarty.

JUNIOR

Kelsey Cooke — Kelsey is a member of Helping Hands, the volleyball team, and the track team.  Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  She was es-

corted by her father, Todd Cook.

Serenity Lanclos — Serenity runs track and dances competitively for the CODA Dance Studio.  She is part of Helping Hands and president of the French Club.  She is also a member of Journey Club.  She was escorted by her grandfather, John Lanclos.

Nia Ragland — Nia is a junior class representative who serves the homeless community as a volunteer.  She is an accomplished pianist.  She was escorted by her father, retired Col. Fulton Johnson.

SENIORS

Hannah Allen — Hannah is president of the Student Council and a member of Beta Club and Helping Hands.  She was escorted by her father, Danny Allen.

Courtney Clouatre — Courtney is a captain of the Kittens dance team, co-vice president of Helping Hands, member of Beta, and Student Council representative.  She believes that in everything we do, God should be glorified.  She was escorted by her father, Raymond Clouatre.

Tobi Baudry — Tobi is a member of Helping Hands and Diamond Girls.  She is captain of the soccer team and senior class treasurer.  She was escorted by her father, Matt Baudry.

Kendall Russell — Kendall is a member of the soccer team and co-captain of Central High cheerleaders.  She is secretary of the Student Council and a member of Bombshell Boutique.  She was escorted by her father, Kelly Russell.
