Town Hall Meeting Set for June 12

Mayor-elect Jr. Shelton’s transition team will hold two Town Hall meetings between now and Inauguration Day in order to get ideas from the public on the priorities for the City of Central and Shelton’s new administration.

The first of the two public meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at the Central High auditorium.  The second will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at Indian Mound Baptist Church.

Shelton’s transition team has met four times and focused on issues that need to be addressed in the first 120 days of the new administration.

The Mayor-elect has announced that Central will hold a Day of Prayer on July 10 with a public gathering at 6:30 p.m. at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.  Many Central pastors will participate.
