CMS Teacher Is State Finalist for Teacher of Year

On Monday night, Jackie Jenkins was honored as Central’s middle school teacher of the year. Now the Louisiana Department of Education has announced that Mrs. Jenkins is a finalist to be named Louisiana’s Teacher of the Year in ceremonies July 12 in Baton Rouge. The Central school board commended Mrs. Jenkins, saying she “delivers the highest quality teaching and educational service that maximizes the academic achievements and personal growth of her students.”
