Rispone Hoping For Big Turnout In City of Centra

GOP candidate Eddie Rispone is hoping for a large voter turnout in the City of Central in his quest to oust incumbent Gov. John Bel Edwards in the election on Saturday, Nov. 16. Central is one of several conservative voting areas in the state that Rispone needs to win big.

Edwards is the only Democrat governor in the South, and Republicans think he is vulnerable because of his tax-and-spend policies.

Early voting began on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a record-breaking turnout and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 9. The candidates agree getting their supporters to the polls is their biggest challenge. Early voting in Central is also continuing at the Central Library from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday.
