Relief Pitcher’s HR Leads Central HS over Parkview

After being out with a broken finger for 17 weeks, Central pitcher Drew Lasseigne returned to the Wildcats’ lineup in a big way in their game against Parkview.

Central freshman pitcher Jimmie Johnson was strong on the mound until the 5th inning when he gave up three runs, and Parkview took a 4-3 lead. With two out, Lasseigne came in as a reliever and retired the side.

Then in the top of the 7th, pitcher Lasseigne homered, driving in two runs. Central won 5-4.

Lasseigne’s heroics are a continuation of his play on last year’s State Championship team.
