4th of July Celebration Will Honor Birth of USA, Central City

Thousands of Central residents are expected to attend the 13th Annual City of Central Birthday Celebration beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4 at Wildcat Stadium, corner Hooper and Sullivan roads.
Normally held on July 11, the anniversary of the founding of the City of Central on July 11, 2005, this year’s celebration will be held for the first time on July 4 so that it would also honor the birth of our nation.
Central Mayor Jr. Shelton, who is heading up the celebration, has urged everyone to bring folding chairs and blankets for the music beginning at 7 and the fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.
