Pioneer Day at Tanglewood Elementary

Students in the Central Community School System missed many school days because of the flood last August. The impact was the greatest at Tanglewood Elementary School, which flooded and had to be completely rebuilt. Some of the schools’ special events had to be cancelled. That almost resulted in the cancellation of the Annual Pioneer Day at Tanglewood, but faculty members simply wouldn’t allow that to happen. As a result, 2nd graders once again had the opportunity to experience vignettes of the lives of their forefathers including clothing, food, and daily chores.
